Turning life's moments into music

Why here? Why now?

If you've ever experienced the nagging pull of a job left unfinished, you may understand what drew us back to songwriting.

Thirty years ago, we left a big part of our hearts on the table when we took a fork in the road and pursued careers as restaurateurs. As rewarding as that journey was, it never erased what we had created through music—or what we knew we still had left to create. That became especially clear once we were both out of the restaurant business.

Jamey was the first to step away and immediately rekindled his successful music career, performing as a solo act in local clubs. A few years later, it was my turn to hang up the pots and pans and retire from the restaurant industry.

I won't sugarcoat it. There was a lengthy period when Jamey and I were at odds with one another. The details aren't important, except to say that it followed a pattern that often occurs when family members work together in business.

The good news is that shortly after my retirement, we both came to realize we were the last living members of our immediate family. The importance of that wasn't lost on either of us. We reconnected on a level we hadn't experienced in years.

From that moment forward, our return to musical collaboration felt natural and seamless.

The results of that reunion are what you'll find on this site.

We'll share the stories behind our songs, the experiences that inspire them, and the process we use to bring them to life. Most importantly, we'll let the music speak for itself by giving you the opportunity to listen to—or download—our songs free of charge.

Of course, we'd love to see a major artist take interest in one of our songs someday.

But we believe good music should be available to everyone, and this time we're not leaving anything on the table.
